Story:

A businesswoman had owned a store. She had a servant named Ambrosia. Every night this businesswoman would always check if everything is fine.

One night she asked: “Ambrosia, have you added two glasses of water in the cooking oil can?” “Yes, ma’am,” was the answer. “Have you already removed two spoons of sugar?” was the question again by this businesswoman. “Have you injected the fishes with formalin?” All the answers were “Yes, ma’am”.

Then, this businesswoman said: “Ambrosia, come here upstairs. Let us pray the rosary.”

Message:

Today’s Gospel is a parable about the contrasting attitudes of two sons. The first son said ‘no’ but after he came to his senses, he did his father’s wish. The second son said ‘Yes’ but later, he did nothing.

Words Vs Deeds: Today’s gospel is teaching us to consider the relationship between words and deeds. There are two types of people around us. The first type of people is those who say a lot of things. They promise a lot. In reality, they do nothing. On the other hand, there is another type of people. They show in their deeds. For them ‘Action speaks louder than Words’.

Ask:

To which type of group, I belong to?

Act:

Today Church invites us to pray for the Migrants and Refugees. We have seen their plight during the lockdown and still, we see them helpless. Pray for the migrants and the refugees. Be considerate towards them if they are living close to your place. As a gesture of Christian living- help a migrant family with some grocery items.
